Description and Outline
The full missions are three (3) nights. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. They last one and one half hours each evening. Usually 7-8:30pm or 7:30-9pm I begin the mission experience by preaching all the weekend masses and presiding at 2 or 3. If the parish has a school, an all-school mass can be arranged on one of the mornings of the mission. A free will offering will be taken each night for Franciscan Ministries.

Full outlines, presider's prayers, and music suggestions are provided at the planning meeting which is to be scheduled at least one month prior to the mission. At this meeting, a team made up of liturgy, music, art and environment, pastoral staff and other appropriate staff would be present to share the mission preparation process with Friar Johnpaul

Friar Johnpaul will lead us in a reflection on the seven last words of Jesus in his engaging and informative style. Topics such as: being Instruments of Peace in a war-torn world, faith and doubt, happiness verses joy, depression and surrender, death and new life will be explored. Night one looks back to the Infancy Narratives of Matthew and Luke’s gospels. The second night we look forward to the message of the Book of Revelation. Night one we focus on the development of faith in human history. The second night we reflect on God’s revelation as Trinity. The final night is focused on living the gospel today as the Body of Christ-The Church. An enjoyable and faith strengthening experience for junior high students through senior citizens. Night one we focus on the development of the Mass and sacramental theology. The second night we reflect on the first part of the Mass- The Liturgy of the Word. The final night is focused on the Liturgy of the Eucharist. An enjoyable and faith strengthening experience for junior high students through senior citizens. See how Dorothy’s journey can give us an insight into the steps and curves of the true spiritual journey home. What message do the wicked witches, flying monkeys and toto, too, have to unfold for us? Come along, click your heels and enjoy this journey down the Yellow Brick Road of life.
