Tuesday, July 29
Arrival Athens Airport , Upon arrival our escort will meet and greet you . Transfer to the hotel. Free for the
rest of day Dinner and and overnight at the hotel.
Wednesday, July 30
After Breakfast, start our day of sightseeing in Athens, one of the most magnificent ancient cities in the
world, starts with a visit to the world-famous Athens Acropolis. On this sacred hill, you will see exquisite
monuments, such as the Propylae Gates, the breathtaking Parthenon and the Erechtheion. We also visit the
Areios Pagos Hill, the Ancient Agora, followed by visiting the new Acropolis Museum , the Parliament
Building, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Palace. Celebrate Mass. After our Athens
sightseeing tour, participants have the afternoon free to explore this captivating city. Dinner and overnight
stay in Athens.
Thursday, July 31
After Breakfast drive to the Peloponnese and begin our tour in Corinth, where we visit the ruins of the
ancient city, which are perched on a hill above the modern town of Corinth. In the ancient city of Corinth
where Saint Paul lived and preached for two years. Visit Apollo’s Temple and Agora – the Market Place.
Celebrate Mass in Corinth. Visit Cenchreae " Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae because of
a vow he had taken" ( Acts 18:18). Return to Athens. Dinner and overnight stay in Athens.
Friday, August 01
Checkout from Hotel after Breakfast and transfer to Piraeus Port, where we set off on a 3-day Cruise to the
Greek Islands and Turkey. Departure for Mykonos Island. Arrival in Mykonos in the afternoon. The island of
Mykonos is a marvellous cosmopolitan holiday hotspot that combines an international jet-set atmosphere
and stimulating nightlife. We recommend a nonchalant stroll in Mykonos Town to admire the whitewashed
houses and flowered balconies, and to visit the beautiful church of Panagia Paraportiani. Other attractions in
Mykonos Town include the island’s trademark windmills and the charming area of Alefkandra, Mykonos’
Little Venice. Sail to Kusadasi.in Turkey.
Saturday, August 02
We reach Kusadasi, Turkey in the morning. Join the shore excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. In the
afternoon, we arrive in Patmos, the tranquil island where John the Apostle wrote the Book of Revelations.
During the Patmos leg of our Christian tour, you can participate in an optional excursion to the monastery of
St. John the Theologian and to the Holy Grotto of the Revelation. Sail to the Island of Crete.
Sunday, August 03
We arrive in port of Heraklion, the capital of the island Crete where the Minoan population had blossomed.
Join the shore excursion to Knossos. Next port on call is Santorini the island famous for it’s volcano, the
eruption of which created the famous caldera. Enjoy walking on the Island or join an optional excursion to
Thira and Oia areas gives you the opportunity to see one of them most famous islands of Greece. Sail to
Piraeus ( Athens ).
Monday, August 04
Early checkout of the Cruise and transfer to Athens Airport for your flight to Rome, Italy. Upon arrival, our
escort will meet and greet you at the airport. We shall be be transferred to our Assisi hotel. Enjoy Dinner
and overnight at Assisi Hotel.
Tuesday, August 05
Morning Mass at the Tomb of St Francis. We shall start our guided tour of Assisi starting from the streets and
squares of Francesco's youth, to the moment of his true conversion (the crucifix that addressed him in San
Damiano), to the Renunciation to all worldly possessions (by the church of Santa Maria Maggiore). Not to
mention the great, magnificent Basilica of Saint Francis where his tomb is located, adorned with the famous
frescoes attributed to Giotto and other fine artists of the Middle Ages. Also Saint Claire of Assisi is a major
religious figure, who lived and died in Assisi. The Basilica of the Saint, situated within the city walls, contains
her body and a few relics. Venerate the tomb of Carlo Acutis ( to be Canonized in 2025) We will also visit the
Portiuncola, the place that St.Francis chose for his newly-founded Franciscan Order. Half of his life was spent
there. On October 3rd, 1226 he passed away in a nearby chapel. Since the 16th century the area has been
covered and protected by the imposing basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.,back to Rome for dinner and
overnight.
Wednesday, August 06
Early departure to join the Papal Audience (pending on Pope’s schedule). In the afternoon, enjoy the Ancient
Rome, including the Coliseum (outside), Forum, Capitol Hill and the Trevi Fountain. Have a private mass.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Thursday, August 07
We start the day with a guided tour of the Vatican Museum; On to visit the Major Basilicas: St. Peter, St Mary
Major, St John in Lateran, St Paul Outside the Walls. Rest of the day at leisure. Mass. Dinner at hotel and
overnight stay.
Friday, August 08
After Breakfast free time until our transfer to the Airport for departure back to ORD Airport.
